Many of these photographs were
shown in an exhibit at the Patrick Moore Gallery in 2006 and 2007, and the Eccles Community Art Center in 2008.
My love affair with France began the moment I first saw Paris. It was a magical experience I have never
forgotten. When I returned to France a few years later, I met a lovely Parisian named Catherine who would later become my wife. It’s no wonder I have spent many years exploring and photographing la
belle France.

Lately, I have been using special techniques to introduce Impressionist and abstract renderings to my photographs – some of these effects are digital enhancements and some are camera created. I find
that the colors and textures of Impressionism most accurately represent what I see and feel about France.
The subject matter is somewhat diverse as is
the design and composition of the images, but they all seem to fit into a
broad interpretation of an Impressionist style of visual
art.
I find that working with digital equipment gives me the freedom and variety
of image creativity that makes these moods possible.
