Photo
Impressionism is the essence of my
approach to photography because with it I can express my
visual feelings truthfully without an artificial concern
for technical perfection.
Impressionist images using digital techniques can
emphasize the emotional character of the subject in a
way that is more revealing than traditional photography.
My style of Photo Impressionism uses special techniques to simplify and intensify the
colors and visual planes of the subject. The integrity of the image is preserved, but the colors and textures are enhanced or minimized. The intent is to produce a stronger visual impression that talks to
the emotions more than the intellect.
