Lesson Structure will depend on the level of expertise of the student, but a general outline will be:

Learning correct methods for holding sticks
Learning how to set up the drum kit
Learning basic rhythms and beats
Learning how to coordinate your playing on the drum kit
Learning how to put the rhythms and beats to music
Learning how to increase your speed and ability
Learning how to polish your routines
Learning how to read basic rhythms and how to practice them
Putting it all together with a professional sound

Each student will have a unique need and style to promote. I will cater to those needs, and not force a prescribed curriculum.

NOTE:  Keep a lesson and practice notebook and bring it to each lesson. Later you will be learning how to read music, but initially you will learn to play different rhythms and beats so that you can relate to the music naturally.
